The Black Bear Triathlon offers a spectacular course from beginning to end. It's not for the meek and mild but trust us you will be very proud of this accomplishment when you finish. It begins from the beautiful beach and into the calm, clear waters of the Beltzville Reservoir.
Next you venture out onto the bike course with yes, some very challenging hills but doable. It's so beautiful you'll forget the pain....sort of.
The run course offers a lot of shaded areas through the woods and takes you across the Beltzville Dam for a stunning panoramic view of the entire race.
Swim Course
The swim will be in the beautiful Beltzville Lake. Access to water is from a public beach. The water temp in June can range from 62-76'F. Wetsuits are allowed and encouraged.

Run Course
Both the long and short courses will take place on a combination of paved and hard packed trails.
