Triathletes will begin the morning with a 750 yard swim in the Schuylkill River. This is by far one of the nicest swims you can experience. The water is clear and most of the time calm. And the only body of water in the area that offers up to the minute reports on current flow and water quality. We have our very own BOW TIE GUYS helping you in and out of the water and tons of water safety along the course.
As the Tri begins, duathlon participants will have a mass start for their first run of 2 miles on Martin Luther King Drive.
Both races share the same bike course, which is two 8.5-mile loops on a closed, super flat, super fast course around Philadelphia's historic Art Museum and along the banks of the river.
Both races will conclude with a scenic 3.1-mile out and back run along Martin Luther King Drive. The entire race is very, very spectator friendly.
