When we use to produce the Philadelphia Women’s Triathlon I would write a little piece each month called the Last Word sometimes motivational, sometimes quirky and sometimes completely irrelevant.

I have so missed doing this over the years and finally I can do it, once again, with the Perfect 10 Miler.

I wish for just a day you could all see what I am seeing happening with this race..

Why Do YOU Run?

Whether you run 5ks for fun or are a marathoner out to set a new PR, everyone has a different answer to the question – why do you run?

There are as many reasons to run as there are runners in the world.

Running means something different to each and every person. Today, I wanted to share with you, a few of the reasons why I run.

I Am - My Running Story

Hi! I’m Leslie, the blogger behind And Her Little Dog Too – a healthy living, eating, exercising, {sometimes} marathon running and everything in between blog. I’m excited to share with you my running journey as well as tips and tricks to prepare you for the Perfect 10 Miler Race Day! I will be posting semiweekly on everything & anything running-related as we get closer to the start line of the P10.  So for my first post I wanted to introduce myself and hopefully give you a better idea of who I am as a blogger, a woman and a runner.

The New Jersey State Triathlon will be a race of champions on July 20 and July 21, 2013.  Earlier this year, the State officially recognized the New Jersey State Triathlon and thus was born “The New Jersey State Championships”.

The race will feature not only the New Jersey State Championships which will be awarding overall and age group prizes to the top competing New Jersey residents but it is the official Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship and qualifier for the USAT National Championships and will include the Collegiate Championship competition lead by Neil Verano of the Rutgers University Triathlon Team.

The New Jersey State Triathlon is the largest triathlon in the State selling out annually to 3,000 triathletes.  Since its inception, the race has hosted triathletes from almost all fifty states and dozens of international competitors. In 2013, the State officially recognized the New Jersey State Triathlon and thus was born “The New Jersey State Championships”.

It was a perfect day for a run!

6,000 Unite participants gathered at Rutgers University under a clear blue sky to challenge themselves to complete either the half-marathon or the 8K.  The Unite Half Marathon and 8K at Rutgers University, in its fourth year, was even more meaningful given the recent tragedy at the Boston Marathon.
