As a runner and a woman who lives a healthy lifestyle I have been a BIG fan of juicing for a few years now. I bought my first juicer after a 20 pound weight loss and juicing has been a part of my daily life ever since.  Runners especially need their fruits and vegetables - they are an essential part of any athlete’s diet, and juicing is a easy way to get the nutrition you need.

Incorporating fresh juice into your pre or post workout snack is an easy way for me to make sure I am fueling my body right. Healthy drinks can be a great source of complex carbohydrates, protein, minerals, vitamins and nutrients. Plus, the right juice combination can boost immunity, reduce inflammation caused by training, and are high in antioxidants.

Juicing for me is an easy way to make sure I am getting the recommended servings {two fruits, three veggies}.  I recently completed a 3-Day Juice Cleanse, which introduced me to a whole new variety of healthy drinks. 

Here are the recipes I enjoyed during my 3-Day Juice Cleanse: 

     Green Juice – Cucumber, Celery, Apple, Parsley, Spinach, Kale, Lemon, Lime, Ginger

     Spicy Lemonade – Water, Lemon, Cayenne, Agave

     Carrot Juice – Carrot, Apple, Celery, Lemon, Lime

·      Beet Juice – Beets, Carrot, Apple, Lemon, Lime, Ginger

 Cashew Milk – Raw Cashews, Agave, Vanilla, Cinnamon, Water 

I love juicing because I enjoy fueling my body with fresh fruits and vegetables. After juicing I always have tons of energy, no bloat and never any guilt! Aside from being tasty & super healthy, drinking fresh juice is a fantastic way to hydrate – especially during these hot summer days!
