The New Jersey State Triathlon Championships Coming to
Mercer County, New Jersey
July 20 & 21, 2013
The New Jersey State Triathlon will be a race of champions on July 20 and July 21, 2013. Earlier this year, the State officially recognized the New Jersey State Triathlon and thus was born “The New Jersey State Championships”. The official resolution from the State of New Jersey recognized the race for its tremendous economic impact, charitable contributions and overall benefits it has brought to the local community, regional and state as a whole.
The race will feature not only the New Jersey State Championships which will be awarding overall and age group prizes to the top competing New Jersey residents but it is the official Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship and qualifier for the USAT National Championships and will include the Collegiate Championship competition lead by Neil Verano of the Rutgers University Triathlon Team.
These awards will not be claimed easily as this year's field includes some of the best triathletes from across the nation including New Jersey's own Doug Clark, Hawaii Ironman 2009 Age Group Champion, Dan Feeney, Pro Triathlete and named as one of the five new pro's to watch in 2012 and unbelievable competition from clubs like Team Philly Pro Tri.
The New Jersey State Triathlon is the largest triathlon in the New Jersey selling out annually to 3,000 triathletes. The Olympic distance is currently sold out with limited slots to Sprint distance. Since its inception, the race has hosted triathletes from almost all fifty states and dozens of international competitors.
The New Jersey State Triathlon continues to be at the forefront of incorporating unique elements to the race to not only grow the sport of triathlon but continually recognize deserving multisport athletes.
